SCHOOLBOY Q - HANDS ON THE WHEEL (NIGHTMARE! NIGHTATON BOOTLEG)

I caught wind of this track in MiniMaxx's latest mixtape "Moombah Ain't Dead" (post of that coming later) and it really stood out to me. I hate to use such an overplayed term, but this track just oozes with swag. It starts off mellow and sort of ethereal before landing on a sweet, laid-back groove that just exudes cool and perfectly compliments the vocals. While I'm on the vocals, I love them. Nightmare! only took the vocals from the chorus for this bootleg and it was a good decision. It just works so fucking well. And then after disarming you with its initial chillness, the track smacks in you face with Moombah right at 1:45 and the party gets started. Even better is when it transitions flawlessly back to the vocals and laid-back tone without dropping a step. Check this out, and be on the lookout for the above mentioned "Moombah Ain't Dead" mixtape later today.

JOHN DAHLBACK - ZEUS

If one thing is certain with John Dahlback songs, it's that you truly do not know what you are going to hear. One second this track is spitting some fiery electro funk and the next a gentle melody is building up. Great unique sound here as always from Mr. Dahlback. This track is a monster. Check it out. Grab it on Beatport. Peace.

MARK POMPEO & KEVIN KOBILINSKI - DAY (PREVIEW)

Hey everyone! I'm very proud and excited to bring you this preview of my new track "Day" with Kevin Kobilinski! It's a bright, poppy progressive house tune with warm melodies and sounds to close out the summer. I really enjoyed making this because I never did anything in this kind of style before. Very fun to branch out and expand my sound repertoire beyond the darker, heavier stuff I've done previously. Please enjoy, and stay tuned for the full song!

MICHAEL TEIXEIRA, ANDY CALDWELL - SING IT BACK

Michael Teixeira sent me his new track with Andy Caldwell, and it's quite wonderful. Smooth vocals. A happy little melody. I especially love the part at about 1:37 where the guitar comes in. Very nice. Check it out!

LAIDBACK LUKE - CAMBODIA

A couple of days ago I told you about Laidback Luke's Twitter promotion for a free download of his song Cambodia. With well over the required 3000 people tweeting "#ThrowUpYourDoubleL @LaidbackLuke" the song is now available to download for free through the BeatMyDay.com Soundcloud. Enjoy!

HOW ARMIN VAN BUUREN SYNCS MUSIC AND VISUALS LIVE

I just wanted to post this video real quick of Armin van Buuren showing his DJ setup and how he and touring VJ sync of the visuals with the music on the fly. There is a disturbing trend of DJs prerecording sets or playing the exact same set every show. They try to justify this by saying it's the only way to synchronize with the light show, and this video shows why that is basically a load of crap. You go Armin.
