EVERY SINGLE DAY

Greg Armano sent this over today and asked me to share it with you guys.  It's a remix he did a while back of the classic Benassi track "Every Single Day".  It's definitely a very fresh, original take on the song unlike any other version of heard of this.  The transitions to and from the vocal parts are very well done, and the beat is just kind of funky and warped in all the right ways.  Enjoy!

GIVIN IT UP (DUTCH MIX)

Canadian DJ/producer Sydney Blu, who happens to be pretty damn sexy btw, released this stomper earlier in the month.  Co-produced with Damaged Goods, the track features a pretty minimal arrangement with a big booming kick, a nice little vocal snippet, and some bells and whistles in the background.  This gives way to a semi-melodic, uplifting build that culminates with a massive drop that gets dutch wit' it, sampling the sound from Sidney Samson's "Riverside" to drive the beat.  They also released another version called the MORave, with the only difference being a different lead instead of the dutch sample, but it's not as good.  So give this banger a listen and grab yourself a copy over at Beatport.  Enjoy!

ANNIE'S GROOVE

This shit is groovy!  Mark Stacey hails from Manchester, UK and over the last 5 years has been steadily making a name for himself and since 2010 has been regularly DJ'ing at the famous club Sankeys alongside names like Sebastien Leger and Chris Lake.  "Annie's Groove" is his first real, major release coming on Maquina, and boy do I love it.  This track has a lot of funk to it with a vibe that lies somewhere between tech and deep house with some very classic house elements in it as well.  Keep your eyes peeled for more from this rising star, and you can download the full "Annie's Groove" for free through Mark's Facebook page!

SEXY AND I KNOW IT (REEPR REMIX)

Underground (sort of) electro/dubstep producer ReepR has been putting out a whole lot of tracks lately, and he just added to it today with this new remix he did of LMFAO.  The percussion is really good and gives the mix a nice shuffle feel to it underlying the vocals and everything else.  The drop is very tight with a good electro bassline that's quickly joined by some pitch-bending leads.  I do think I could've done with less of the vocals though since they really are cheesy haha.  Enjoy this one and check out more from ReepR on Beatport!  Also, you should watch the video above since it's really funny dubbing over old clips from the He-Man cartoon with the original version of this song.

This is the dopest 2011 year mix hands down. Why? Because as far as I'm concerned 2011 was the year of the moombahton, and this mix is just over an hour of the hottest, craziest moombahton beats on the planet. Done for Beatjunks 2011 year mixes, it was the only mix they featured that was exclusively moombahton. Huge props to DJ/producer MiniMaxx for putting together a seriously vicious mix!! HAPPY VIOLENCE

Hey guys.  Sorry it's been a few weeks since I posted anything.  I'm still working like mad on some new original music, and I have a girlfriend now so I've been very very occupied!  Anyways check out this nice little bootleg of Dada Life's "Happy Violence".  It gives the whole thing a really, groovy funky twist that's sure to get people's butts shaking!  It's got a little dubstep in it too for those of you who are into that.  I'm sad to say though I really don't know anything at all about the two producers who did this mix, Timo Juuti and Hector 87.  All I know is this bootleg is really good.  I'll try to post a little more frequently to make up for the all the time I've been taking off from this, and I should have my "Best of 2011" list up in a few days too!  Enjoy guys!
